“Hari ne banaya jag Govinda Radhey.
Kintu jag gun Hari rahit bata dey.”

Explanation: The world was not created by any soul. There are two kinds of souls. Those who are mayadheen, under the control of Maya, and those who are mayateet, beyond Maya or God realized Saints.
When the souls under Maya don’t have even a complete understanding of the science of the world’s creation, how could he have the knowledge to create it? According to the Brahm Sutra, Saints are also not involved in the work of creation. So the world was not created by the souls or Saints. The only entity that remains is God. So only God created the world.
Someone might think that Maya created this world. But how could Maya create? It is just a lifeless power. That which is lifeless can’t perform any kind of action. For example, if someone said, “This pillow created that horse,” then people would think, “Impossible!” Similarly, Maya did not create this material world nor is it capable of creating it.
So it is proved that only God created this world. Vedanta even explains up to this extent that God Himself took the form of this world. After Mahapralay (universal dissolution) ended, God took the form of a woman and man. Then he awakened all the souls who were in a subtle form within God during Mahapralay. He called His power Parashakti to start the work of creation. He didn’t give this instruction to Maya. Parashakti then made Maya do the work of creation according to her instructions. Finally the entire universe was created and the souls entered into it.
Now a question arises. If God was the original inspiration of this world, why doesn’t it have God’s qualities? God is sat-chit-ananda. Sat means live, but the world is lifeless. Chit means the form of knowledge, but the world is the form of ignorance. Ananda is eternal divine bliss, but the world only delivers pain and suffering. So we need to reflect deeply on why this is so.
